We all know that an actual, physical Santa Claus does not exist. There is no jolly old elf, dressed in red, that comes down the chimney on Christmas Eve. However, it amazes my how many little kids don't believe in Santa anymore. I will willingly admit to believing in Santa until I started high school. The question I have is: Is that a bad thing? What is wrong with believing in Santa Claus. In a way, I still believe in Santa. I sincerely believe in the spirit of Santa Claus. That giving nature that comes around every December. And I also believe that we should encourage children to believe in Santa Claus for as long as possible. Why deny them the joy of finding presents under the tree that say From: Santa on them?

Oh I agree. There are many different types of Santa's in this world. Santa is a good "spirit" to have around. It shows a special sign of giving that should be installed in children at a young age. Plus, it's an excuse to tell them to behave. The holidays are a great time for me and most people that i know, but what it really comes down to is that it's for the children. To see their big shining smiles. The only problem is children are growing up SO much faster, than they use to grow up. I didn't know half the things my gf's 10 year old knows when i was her age. It's scary. Very scary. I think one main thing that i try to incorporate in my life is to make eveyday a holiday. Madonna anyone? Not so much the singing and dancing, but just to have that cheerfulness. Also to give a few little things her and there. It's hard for some people to feel real good about getting others gifts all the time. It's also awkward to recive them all the time. OMG have i been babling or what? I better go to sleep now.
